MINORITY FANBOYZ

MARVEL COMICS started in 1939 as Timely Publications, by the 50's it became known as Atlas Comics. In 1961 the true incarnation of Marvel Comics began. In 1962 Amazing Fantsay #15
was the arrival of the Spiderman. But as early as 1941 you saw Captain America & his troops

The reason this blog starts off focusing on Marvel Comics was because in 1966 the first black superhero was born, his name was T'Challa, The Black Panther. The Black Panther's name predates the October 1966 founding of the Black Panther Party. T'Challa made several appearances in Marvel Comics
until in 1973 getting his own title, Jungle Action Feat. Black Panther. It was called Jungle Action and not The Black Panther due to the fact that Stan Lee did not want to clash with the political party Black Panthers.
Stan Lee didn't bridge a gap between real & fiction, with him anything could be true. Regardless of age or race it would be enjoyed.

When did you become s comic book fan? In 1987 I picked up my first comic book, it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it wasn't the turtles we knew on tv, they were killers, they openly killed the Shredder cold blood in that book, I couldn't put comics down since. What was the first book you picked up and read?

Over the years a lot has changed, characters, people and movies. There are way more African American comic book fans in the world since the 1990's, any reason why? Does it matter? Is it because creativity is far beyond the size of this planet? Stan Lee, Jack Kirby & Steve Ditko built a doorway of imagination for the public to be whatever they wanted to be. It's still moving strong today with more fans and critics than ever.
